I do my portraits from photos, either taken by me or supplied by the client. I say honestly if I don’t think an image will work as a portrait, and can advise on how to take more suitable ones. Selecting the perfect reference photo is crucial to the success of the finished artwork.

For a timeless effect that looks at home in any setting, I usually work in graphite pencil, though I’m happy to discuss other media and styles.

An extra service I offer is premium-quality copies (giclée prints) of my portrait commissions. Many of my clients like to order these as special gifts for friends and relatives.
